UP Tacloban College hosted a Basic Molecular Biology Workshop for High School Teachers on 29–30 January 2026 at the Research Laboratory of the Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. Twenty-seven biology teachers from public high schools and colleges in Babatngon, Barugo, Abuyog, Maasin, Catarman, Allen, Salcedo, and Tacloban City in Eastern Visayas, and Cebu, Davao del Sur, and Zamboanga attended the two-day training in pipetting, DNA extraction, real-time PCR, and agarose gel electrophoresis.
