Pahinungód Tacloban conducts Volunteer Orientation on Pagpahinungód

On 24 September 2024, UP Tacloban’s Ugnayan ng Pahinungód held an orientation which was attended by one hundred seventeen (117) students of the college.
Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Tacloban Coordinator Associate Professor Ervina Espina introduced UP’s volunteer service program and highlighted the importance of strengthening the culture of volunteerism and public service within the UP Tacloban community.

The session included a video message from Ugnayan ng Pahinungód System Director Dr. Marie Therese Bustos and testimonials from Dr. Irene Tan, UP Tacloban’s Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and BA Psychology alumnus Raymond Balderian about the Gurong Pahinungód program. Tan is a former Gurong Pahinungód and Balderian is a current Gurong Pahinungód volunteer in Antique.

The volunteer orientation also included an overview of the different programs and upcoming volunteering opportunities of the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Tacloban. The participants were then requested to fill out a volunteer engagement form to identify which activities they could best offer their skills and capabilities.
